It
goes without saying that all kinds of water sports are very important at a
vacation at us, but of course not only. |
|
Sport
Fishing
holds a very special place with us.
Actually, it is almost impossible not to
catch anything.
|
 |
|
The total “newcomer fisherman” as well as the experienced
“All-round fisherman” and even the experienced fly-fisherman and salmon
expert will get his money’s worth.
|
 |
The Margaree-River is one of the most famous
Salmon rivers in Atlantik
Canada, perhaps on earth.
But it is just one
of many other
local salmon rivers and trout
brooks here at Cape Breton.
|
|
Every
year fishermen from all over the world match themselves against the
Atlantic salmon – one of the most unique experiences on earth.
|
 |
 |
 |
 |
| |
|
But perhaps "fly fishing for atlantic
salmon" is not necessarily something for the beginners but it is the
absolutely highlight for many fly fishermen.
To have fun or just to get your first
success: stay right on the property and fish in the Bras d'Or Lake - from
the shore for rainbow / speckled trout, ray, eel, flatfish, smelt und much
more.
Or try it from the canoe, the boat or from the
wharf for mackerel, trout, cod, leng and many others. |
 |
 |
 |
|
|
|
This
and many more are to be found (in often unbelievable sizes) in the Bras
d’Or Lake.
Specialists can try their luck on
one of the, up to 600kg, Blue-fin tunas
in the open Atlantic, or for sharks or what ever...
But remember: You don't have to
go far away.
Direct at the shore line of our property is one of the best
fishing grounds for many species of fish: the Bras d'Or Lake. |

Please believe us, there are really a lot of fish here – even if this
assertion “only” comes from a fisherman!
However, even here in Canada the fish don’t (always) jump in the fishing-net by
themselves.
We will help you to learn the basics of the fair and sporty fishing.
As a beginner you don’t need to bring an expensive equipment. For you first
attempts there will be a fishing rod for you or we will gladly accompany you to
one of the local fishing-shops and help you with the choice and combination if
you first fishing device.
If
you don’t get any fish under our guidance, then you are allowed to help us
work in our garden for one whole day –
promised!

If you step by again soon, we will have more info, tips and photos.
Or just give us a call.
If you have special questions, please don't
hesitate to ask us.
I'm a fisherman as well and would be glad to
assist or to guide you. |
